Technology Detail
Trusted by leading enterprises globally, Microsoft SharePoint serves as the premier platform for enterprise-grade document management and corporate collaboration. At Dev House Australia, we design and implement custom SharePoint architectures that streamline how organisations share knowledge, manage records, and collaborate remotely. Backed by our parent company’s 15+ years of globally proven IT engineering track record, we customise SharePoint environments to automate workflows, integrate with existing enterprise databases, and ensure strict compliance with Australian information security guidelines.
Scope
Dev House Australia designs and builds tailored SharePoint systems that empower modern enterprises to achieve operational excellence. Our senior Microsoft systems engineers provide expert guidance on optimal cloud or hybrid architectures, delivering secure platforms free of vulnerabilities.
We design and build custom corporate intranets, collaborative web portals, and tailored business applications. We configure every component to ensure your SharePoint instance aligns precisely with your specific workflows and technical requirements.
Our management services actively monitor database performance, telemetry logs, and tenant configurations. When our senior specialists identify system latency, they implement targeted optimisations to maintain peak efficiency.
We execute low-risk migrations from legacy on-premises file servers or older SharePoint Server instances to SharePoint Online. Every migration is preceded by thorough assessments and mapping to prevent data loss or operational downtime.
We integrate SharePoint with CRM, ERP, DMS, and BI tools using Microsoft Graph and Power Platform flows. CRM-shaped customer systems belong on the CRM hub. SharePoint stays the document and intranet owner.
We leverage modern SharePoint Framework (SPFx) capabilities to create branded, responsive corporate portals. We design user-friendly layouts and intuitive navigation structures that align with your corporate brand identity.
We implement comprehensive governance frameworks to guarantee document lifecycle integrity and regulatory compliance. We configure custom permission groups, retention policies, and data classification tags that align with Australian corporate rules.
We map workflows, hybrid versus Online, and a realistic SharePoint roadmap. Broader technology advisory that is not a SharePoint build sits on IT consultancy.
Platform upgrades should never disrupt your daily business operations. We provide reliable maintenance, regular dependency patches, and proactive support to ensure your SharePoint instance operates flawlessly long-term.
Solutions
Dev House Australia designs and deploys targeted SharePoint systems for diverse corporate sectors. We implement robust functionalities that automate administrative workflows and improve communication:
We build secure, centralized intranets to act as your internal communication hub, fostering cross-departmental collaboration. We incorporate strict access permissions, unified document directories, and responsive news feeds.
We construct robust content systems featuring automated publication workflows, customizable metadata tags, and branded publishing templates, simplifying document lifecycle management for your teams.
We digitise your document archives and business records to reduce operating expenses. We configure OCR integrations, version control rules, secure electronic signatures, and compliant retention schedules.
We construct custom e-learning platforms on SharePoint that support diverse media formats, training records, and compliance tracking, streamlining employee onboarding and continuous education.
We develop tailored widgets and client-side web parts using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx). This extends your standard Microsoft 365 capabilities without creating security holes or platform instability.
We build automated employee support desks featuring ticket routing, SLA monitoring, and notification triggers using Power Automate, allowing your IT or HR teams to handle requests efficiently.
Benefits
Deploying a custom SharePoint system is a key step toward improving business productivity and data security. Dev House Australia supports you at every stage, from greenfield implementation to legacy optimization:
We secure sensitive information and protect corporate digital assets through Microsoft Purview integration. We establish granular role-based permissions that prevent unauthorized user access.
We build adaptive, flexible SharePoint configurations using SPFx and the Microsoft Power Platform, ensuring your environment perfectly supports your custom business processes.
We design responsive portals that follow modern usability rules. Once our team completes the setup, we provide comprehensive training and clear documentation to ensure rapid team adoption.
We configure data integrity validation rules, strict retention schedules, and classification tags that meet Australian and international compliance standards for regulated industries.
By deploying SharePoint in alignment with Microsoft best practices, you build on a globally trusted ecosystem that handles heavy document workloads with exceptional reliability.
We leverage your existing Microsoft 365 licensing packages to avoid third-party software subscriptions, selecting the most cost-effective deployment strategy for your business.
Work with senior SharePoint systems architects who deliver secure, compliant, and highly performant document management systems.
Choose development when you need custom intranets, SPFx parts, migrations, or integrations we will ship. Choose consulting when the job is architecture, governance, or a roadmap before anyone writes web parts. Hiring a SharePoint developer in a city is a staffing search, not this page. Wider advisory sits on IT consultancy. Customer systems that are not document libraries sit on CRM development.
SharePoint development involves customising and extending standard Microsoft 365 capabilities. The SharePoint Framework (SPFx) is a modern page and web part model that enables client-side development. Using SPFx, our senior engineers construct highly interactive, responsive web parts and extensions using Javascript frameworks (like React), allowing us to customize the user interface and integrate external APIs safely without risking platform compatibility.
Core document repositories require rigorous security. We secure your SharePoint environment by implementing strict multi-factor authentication (MFA) via Azure Active Directory, configuring granular role-based access control (RBAC), and utilizing Microsoft Purview to prevent data loss (DLP). Additionally, we establish robust activity log auditing and set up alert notifications. These configurations directly support your alignment with the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Essential Eight cybersecurity guidelines.
We are not an APRA assessor. We can encrypt in transit and at rest, use customer-managed keys where the tenant allows it, and keep the tenant in an Australian region when residency is a requirement. Attestation stays with your institution. Financial product work lives on FinTech software.
Yes, absolutely. By leveraging the Microsoft Graph API, secure RESTful web services, and customized Power Automate flows, we integrate SharePoint with diverse external platforms (such as Salesforce, Odoo, SAP, or legacy custom systems). This ensures automatic, bi-directional document synchronisation, synchronized user permissions, and unified document archival across your entire digital environment.
A successful migration requires a structured data engineering strategy. We begin by conducting a comprehensive inventory audit of your legacy files to filter out obsolete or duplicate data. We then establish custom metadata structures, map legacy folder rules to modern SharePoint columns, configure security permissions, and utilize robust migration tools (like the SharePoint Migration Tool) to execute the migration safely, preventing data loss and minimizing operational downtime.
