Mobile Apps for Workers
React Native iOS and Android apps let workers browse shifts, apply, track schedules, and receive updates without switching tools.
With Dev Centre House’s 14+ years of global product delivery, Dev House Australia built WrkWrk for FRS Recruitment, a four-surface platform (two mobile apps, two web apps) that matches Irish businesses with on-demand workers for hospitality, retail, events, and customer service. Australian enterprises and startups in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane trust Dev House Australia for the same delivery rigour.
WrkWrk is a flexible staffing platform operated with FRS Recruitment, focused on short-term and shift-based work across Ireland. Workers use native mobile apps to discover shifts, apply, and manage schedules; employers and administrators use web applications to post roles, approve candidates, and oversee operations.
The model depends on speed, last-minute cover, peak trading, and event staffing cannot wait on manual phone trees. That is why the product required real-time matching, secure payments, and multi-app coherence, with verifiable shift records, transparent payouts, and platforms that stay fast under concurrent load.
WrkWrk had to match workers to open shifts in near real time, filtering by location, skills, availability, and employer preferences, while keeping iOS and Android experiences aligned with employer and admin web tools.
Scale, UX simplicity, and payment trust were equally critical: thousands of users, intuitive flows for non-technical employers, and payout processes workers could rely on after each shift. Dev House Australia was engaged to design and build the full platform on Angular and React Native with notifications, ratings, and integrated payments woven through every journey.
Dev House Australia delivered WrkWrk as a multi-surface gig platform, mobile apps for workers, web apps for businesses and administrators, engineered for matching velocity, messaging, and settlement integrity expected in two-sided workforce marketplaces.

Employers post shifts, review applicants, and manage rosters through an Angular web client built for speed during busy operational windows.
Administrators oversee users, listings, quality signals, and reviews, keeping marketplace standards consistent as volume grows.
Push and in-app alerts cover applications, confirmations, schedule changes, and payment events so both sides stay aligned.
Secure in-platform payments support prompt worker settlement with clear status for employers and finance teams.
Scope of Work: Web Development, Mobile App Development
Project Duration: 2023, Present
Workshops with WrkWrk and FRS Recruitment mapped worker, employer, and admin journeys, defining matching rules, payments, and compliance needs.
Wireframes and prototypes validated shift posting, application, and approval flows on mobile and web before sprint delivery.
Agile sprints shipped Angular web clients and React Native apps with continuous client feedback as marketplace rules evolved.
Cross-platform QA and load scenarios verified reliability during peak hiring periods and notification-heavy workflows.
Production launch was followed by iteration on matching, UX friction points, and operational tooling from live usage data.
Workers gain flexible shift choice with clearer schedules and faster payment visibility; employers fill gaps more quickly during peaks and last-minute needs. Real-time notifications and in-platform messaging reduce coordination overhead for both sides.
The platform scales with user growth while keeping mobile and web journeys coherent. For Australian workforce and gig platforms building auditable shift and payout records, this engagement shows how Dev House Australia delivers multi-app programmes end to end, with relevance for Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and nationwide expansion plans.
