About the client

BMW Parts Ireland is the official parts distributor for BMW vehicles across Ireland, supplying genuine components to private motorists and trade customers. Quality, compatibility, and traceability are central to the brand, every part must match the right vehicle and fulfilment workflow.

To modernise ordering, the client needed a mobile channel that matched showroom standards: fast catalogue search, reliable checkout, and integration with existing parts data, with secure transactional flows, auditable order records, and systems that scale without compromising trust.

The challenge

BMW Parts Ireland wanted customers to discover, verify, and order parts from a comprehensive catalogue on iOS, without friction or ordering errors. Navigation had to work for occasional owners and workshop users alike, with clear vehicle fitment and part detail at every step.

The app needed native performance, dependable integration with catalogue and order backends, and UX that reduced support load. Dev House Australia was tasked with delivering a production-ready Swift application that could be maintained and extended as catalogue depth and order volumes grew.

The solution

Dev House Australia shipped a native iOS application in Swift, connected to BMW’s parts catalogue and order services. The build emphasised speed, accuracy, and maintainability, the same engineering priorities Australian teams expect for automotive retail and B2B parts commerce.

Native iOS App

A Swift iOS app with responsive search, part detail views, and checkout flows tuned for one-handed use on the showroom floor or in the workshop.

Catalog Integration

Live access to BMW’s parts catalogue with structured browsing so users can match components to model, series, and fitment before they order.

Order Management

End-to-end order placement and status tracking in-app, with validation steps that cut wrong-part submissions and speed up fulfilment.

Outcome results

Customers in Ireland can browse and order genuine BMW parts from their iPhone with less friction and fewer ordering mistakes. Staff spend less time correcting mis-orders; the app supports a more efficient fulfilment loop from search to dispatch.

The project demonstrates how Dev House Australia delivers enterprise mobile products with the rigour Australian businesses seek, whether launching consumer apps or B2B ordering tools with traceable, high-trust transactions. Organisations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and nationally can apply the same delivery model to their own mobility and retail roadmaps.
