Automotive Asset Benchmarking
Real-time benchmarks driven by net retail pricing, with segmentation by brand, technology, and sustainability so users can compare assets against a single source of market truth.
Backed by Dev Centre House’s 14+ years of global delivery, Dev House Australia engineered a secure, scalable web platform for Mobility Equity X (MEX), giving automotive and mobility markets real-time benchmarking, performance tracking, and decision-ready analytics. Australian enterprises and startups in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane trust Dev House Australia for the same delivery rigour.
Mobility Equity X (MEX) is an automotive equity management and benchmarking platform used by traders, dealers, and mobility businesses. Users track and analyse equity across vehicles and mobility assets, compare performance against live market benchmarks, and act on trends in net retail pricing, technology mix, and sustainability categories.
The product sits at the intersection of mobility data and financial decision-making, a regulated, high-integrity environment that demands audit-ready data and complex transactional platforms.
MEX needed a platform that could ingest large, fast-moving datasets and return accurate automotive equity benchmarks in real time. Spikes in user traffic and data volume could not compromise response times or calculation integrity, performance, consistency, and traceability were non-negotiable.
The system had to protect sensitive financial information, including futures-style contract data and equity performance records, while remaining intuitive on web and mobile for both everyday users and professional traders. Dev House Australia was engaged to design and build a solution that would scale with the product roadmap without re-architecting core services.
Dev House Australia delivered a modular Angular web platform with APIs and services shaped for reliability, auditability, and growth. Core capabilities included:
Real-time benchmarks driven by net retail pricing, with segmentation by brand, technology, and sustainability so users can compare assets against a single source of market truth.
A virtual futures workflow that helps users model forward pricing and manage exposure on automotive assets, supported by secure, rules-based data handling comparable to financial-market platforms.
Professional users upload portfolios, map holdings to live benchmarks, and monitor variance against market standards with clear, exportable performance views.
Interactive charts and trend views for volatility, category movement, and historical performance, turning complex datasets into decisions traders can act on quickly.
Responsive, mobile-first access so dealers and analysts review benchmarks and portfolio performance from the desk or the road, with parity across web and handheld devices.
Scope of Work: Web Development
Project Duration: 2021, Present
Workshops with MEX stakeholders and automotive domain experts defined benchmark logic, user roles, and compliance needs, forming a delivery roadmap aligned to market launch priorities.
Wireframes and prototypes prioritised real-time data density and clarity, validating flows for traders, dealers, and analysts on web and mobile before build.
Iterative sprints with continuous client feedback shipped benchmark engines, futures workflows, and visualisation modules on a predictable release cadence.
Load, regression, and security-focused testing verified behaviour under peak data volumes and concurrent users, protecting financial data integrity at scale.
Post-launch support covers scaling, feature expansion, and performance tuning as MEX grows its user base and dataset coverage.
MEX now operates on a platform built for scale: richer analytics, faster benchmark refresh, and a user experience that professionals and everyday users rate highly for clarity and responsiveness. The architecture absorbs growing data and traffic without sacrificing speed, demonstrating the engineering discipline Australian businesses need from enterprise analytics and platform partners.
The launch strengthened MEX’s position in automotive asset management and opened paths to new partnerships in mobility analytics. For organisations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and beyond planning complex data or market-infrastructure products, this engagement shows how Dev House Australia applies global delivery standards to demanding, regulation-aware builds.
